Followed assistant engineer and 2 other workers to NUS...
Difficulty in communication...
one is a chinese malaysian, the other a chinaman...
I'm freaking jealous of the malaysian guy(MG)...

His malay is soooo... hmmm.. pekat (concentrated)
One of a few dialogues between me and him:
MG: Awak dari mana ? (Where're you from?)
ME: Kandang Kerbau...
MG: hahahaahhahaahahahahha...
hahahahahhahhahhaahhh... ( basically cant stop laughing)
ME: huh?
Then situation 2:
AE: Where did you throw the rubbish ?
MG : Apa itu "rhabbis" ? (what's rubbish ?)
ME: Sampah! sampah! (rubbish, rubbish)
Don't get me started with the chinaguy...
He cant converse in english...at all... so... si liao arh...
...Watching mandarin dramas all these years wasnt futile afterall...
I asked him:
ME: Ni de mingzhi she mok ? (broken mandarin : Whats your name ?)
CG: Wo de mingzhi ? zhe zheng (my name ? zhe zheng)
ME: Wo de mingzhi shi Sadiq (my name is sadiq)
CG: sati ?
ME: sadiq
CG: saudi ?
ME: sadiq
CG: sadi ?
ME: khe yi arh... (can arh...)
So, basically we went there to change filters... at the Plant Tissue Culture lab...
Needed to do my weekly report... but it needed a sketch or diagram...
